At Petroleum Measurement Equipment Company (PMEC), we want all of our employees to return to their home as healthy and as safe as they were when they reported to work. This mindset drives all of our safety and health initiatives from the shop floor to construction sites and everywhere in between.
Our health and safety initiatives are supported through a collaboration of practical experience as well as affiliations with industry-leading organizations such as ISNetworld, Pipeline Testing Consortium, and US Compliance Systems, Inc. Our safe workplaces include:
- New Hire Safety Orientations
- Monthly All-Hands Safety Meetings
- Daily Jobsite Analysis Meetings
- Full-time dedicated safety professional
Our efforts have resulted in safe workplaces for our employees, contractors, and customers. This is further evidenced by no OSHA Recordable Incidents since 2008; see our recent TRIR By Year report and our recent OSHA form 300A report. Rest assured that PMEC construction job sites, service events, and fabrication activities are staffed by knowledgeable and safety-conscious employees.
That’s how serious we are about Quality. Our production lines include 2 separate sets of fabrication and pre-paint Quality hold points as well as an extensive 55 point final inspection process. These hold points include such things as structural dimensional accuracy, weld quality, equipment systems operation, ergonomics, and coatings to name just a few.
PMEC has an impressive history in structural and piping fabrication both in construction jobsites and in its fabrication facilities. Our fabrication and assembly activities fully integrate compliance with American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), American Petroleum Institute (API), and American Welding Society (AWS) standards. In fact, our Montgomery, Texas facility is 1 of only 6 Certified Welding Fabricator facilities in the Gulf Coast region certified by the AWS. We leave nothing to chance when it comes to structural quality, safety, equipment operation, and functionality from the first moment our equipment and field work is commissioned.
